The National Institute on Mental Health (NIMH), 75th Anniversary Symposium Series is part of the Institute’s yearlong anniversary celebration. The second symposium entitled, “Amplifying Voices and Building Bridges: Toward a More Inclusive Future,” will take place on Monday, March 18, 2024, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at the National Archives Building (701 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC).
The symposium will explore the theme of NIMH and Society, through the lens of inclusion. The goal is to reflect on past and present challenges in engaging those living with mental illness, clinicians, and communities in mental health research in a meaningful and equitable way, and to chart a more inclusive path forward. The symposium will also highlight inclusion in research, disparities in health and access to care, and diversity in the mental health workforce.
• Registration is free of charge and is required for all participants – both in person and virtual.
• In person registration is limited and will close once the event reaches capacity. Thereafter, requests for in person attendance will be placed on a waitlist.
• Please note: in person registrants are expected to attend the event onsite.
